WONDERFUL WEEKEND

It was a wonderful weekend! The Baby Shower went great! It was so good to see all of our family and friends! I loved having Lisa & April spend the weekend with me... it had been way too long since I had seen them. We won't wait as long this time!
Ashley & Dustin got some wonderful things for Kaylee Rose and are one step closer to being prepared for her arrival. Just a few more things to pick up and they will be set.
Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who helped us with the preparations and set up of the shower. Couldn't have done it without you! Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate this day with us! I know that everyone has busy schedules but I appreciate you setting other things aside to make this day all about Ashley & Kaylee!!!!!
I can't wait to meet Miss Kaylee..... anticipation is killing me!
I will wrap this up by asking all of you to take a moment to say a prayer for Ashley & Kaylee... Ash will be having another ultrasound tomorrow morning as the doctor says she is measuring too small at this point. I am sure that Kaylee is just going to be a small baby but prayers always help. I hope you all have a wonderful week.... don't forget the Fair Grove Heritage Reunion this weekend! See ya there!

Happy Wednesday everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful Labor Day Weekend! We had a somewhat productive weekend! Saturday we made a trip to Sam's to pick up a few things for home and some more things for the Baby Shower! Saturday night I had a great time with my sister, Ginger, and my step-mom, Carla, at Ernie Biggs! Sunday consisted of moving more things from Royce's. Royce and Nancy got married Saturday in Memphis! Congrats to them! Monday was cleaning day for me while Larry installed a new garage door opener! Yay! Ashley and I also got the shower stuff out and set it all up on the tables to see how everything is going to look and to see what else we needed! Going to pick up the remaining things today and tomorrow! So excited for them! I can't wait to meet Kaylee Rose! This Nana is getting very excited! Lots to do the rest of this week with a fundraiser Friday and walk for Aim At Melanoma this Saturday! Then next week the finishing touches and baking for the shower! Hope you all have a great week!

Trying To Get Back To Blogging!

So, I have really neglected this blog for a while now....... but I am going to try to do better from here on out! Life has become a whirlwind lately. So much to do, so little time!

On the Home-front
Molly has grown into such a beautiful dog, although she still thinks she is a puppy and wants to be a lap dog! All 85 lbs of her! She is beginning to outgrow some of her annoying puppy habits. (Somedays). Her and Aliyah are still the best of friends.
I have a very busy Fall but am looking forward to all that is going on! I will be walking in the AIM For Melanoma walk on Saturday September 11 in memory of my mother, Justin Burrell, and Willie Wells. I encourage all of you to come and join us for this wonderful cause.
On Saturday September 18 we will be having a shower for Ashley to help her & Dustin prepare for my new granddaughter, Kaylee Rose. I can't wait to meet Kaylee!
The following weekend is the Fair Grove Heritage Reunion Festival, which we never miss and are anxiously awaiting.
Then we move into October with more vacation, Yay! I will also be volunteering for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk and invite you all to join me there also. I am volunteering this year in honor of a woman who is very special to me and was diagnosed with Breast Cancer last year after the event, Debbie Reichert! She is an inspiration to us all!
Ok enough about home..... moving on!

Ashley & Dustin
Well as you all know, Ashley and Dustin are preparing for the birth of their baby girl, Kaylee Rose. They are busy preparing the nursery. Checked out the progress last night and they are doing a great job. Hopefully they can have it done before the shower so they will have somewhere to put everything. Ashley is absolutely glowing. She has just started showing these last few weeks and has the cutest little belly. It is such a joy to see your daughter carrying her own daughter! I am so glad the weather is finally cooling off so she can be more comfortable these last couple of months! 72 more days until her due date! Nana can't wait to meet this little blessing!

Nicki, Brian, and Miss Aliyah
Miss Aliyah continues to be amazing! She is getting so mature! She will be 3 in November but acts as though she is 16. I was putting her in the car to take her home the other night and as I was getting ready to strap her in her carseat she said, "Nana just get up there and drive, I can do this myself!" Haha! She is VERY excited about the upcoming arrival of Kaylee! Everywhere we go she thinks we need to buy something for Kaylee Rose, and we usually do! Nicki is busy babysitting during the week and working at Ruby Tuesday on the weekends. Brian just started a new job today and will now be off on the weekends, so I am going to share Aliyah with him on the weekends! Haha! This will give them some bonding time and give this Nana time to get some things done! I miss her so much when I have to go a few days without seeing her!

I want to send a special "Thank You" to everyone who called, texted, messaged, etc this last week! As most of you know, last Friday was mom's birthday and while I know there was a wonderful celebration in Heaven, I miss her so much! I wish she was here to meet her new great granddaughter in November...... I wish she was here to share in my life everyday. I'm really missing my dad too! He would have loved Aliyah & Kaylee! I often wonder why life is so unfair.... then I look around and realize things could be so much worse. I am thankful for the time I had with my parents but still wish it could have been longer!

Hope wonderful things are happening in your life!!!!!!
